Affiliate internet marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money online without having to create your own products or provide your own services. As an Affiliate marketer you perform the role of match-maker so to speak, your goal is to introduce the right client to the right product which solves the problem they have, you will never need to do the actual sale and you don't need your own product, if you successfully refer a client who then buys the product or service you will receive a generous commission in return for your efforts.

It is always best to have your own website that you control for Affiliate Marketing and drive traffic to that from other sources such as article submission sites. You can join many different affiliate programs and setup individual websites primarily focused on those areas of the market that interest you. You must also generate Targeted traffic to your website/s, the better you do this the better your chances of conversion and ultimately success. But what generates Traffic? Targeted High Quality Content generates traffic! Think about it people don't go to websites to look at advertising, they go there for the Content and usually because they are seeking a solution to a problem or an answer to a question. Obviously you will have some affiliate links in your content(but not too many) but if you are getting a reasonable amount of traffic why not place a few Adsense ad's or affiliate or relevent product links from Amazon? If they click on an ad, buys something from Amazon or one of your affiliate links you will receive commission. Cast your net as far and wide as possible to give yourself as many chances to succeed as possible!

There are literally thousands of products, programs, software and services online that you can market as an affiliate, but which ones should you choose? Simple, try to choose something that interests you and there is a product you think you will be able to sell successfully as an affiliate, it needs to interest you as you will need to write articles and other content to be able to sell it so consider your decisions carefully. You can join many different affiliate marketing programs though when starting out try to limit this to two or three different programs maximum. Having too many irons in the fire will likely dilute your energy and efforts to the point where you become ineffective. By only having to concentrate on two or three directions you will stay more focused and ultimately be more effective.

Article Writing

Article Writing combines three import aspects, Articles contain useful information, you get free advertising(without looking like it) and potentially viral marketing alll in the one package, why wouldn't you write a few articles? After you have your chosen the product or service you intend to market and created your blog, you will need to write a few good articles. Now, don't just write any old rubbish, you need to write using good quality content, people don't like reading jibberish full stop! Try to always write your articles with a prospective buyer in mind and think about what they may be looking for, sometimes it helps to pretend you are explaining to a 'friend' how to solve the issue or things that you tried or software you used successfully etc. Try to name your article using the exact phrase or phrases that people may be searching for. Try to use combinations of the phrases or keywords a few times in the main body of the article, don't however over-do it with keywords. Next try to find article submission sites that your target audience is likely to hang out in or are likely to visit if they see it come up in a search result. Where possible create links from your article back to your own website or blog to draw traffic to your site where you have control over what content you can publish and what you can link to. Also by having more than one product on the market at a time you will become more efficient as you will be able to re-use elements from other campaigns and publish more high quality content more quickly always expanding the size of your net to catch more sales.

Results

It is important to track what is generating traffic for you and where it is coming from, most online article submission sites have this built in by default. When setting up your own blog or website(I recommend Wordpress) make sure to install a traffic counter/analyser. When you start getting a bit of traffic you need to see where it is coming from and what your reader is looking for, from there your can make an informed decision of which direction to go in to expand on it and get even more traffic. Either way you must understand your target audience otherwise you will never make a red cent online.
